Vocation Meditation -
Trinity Sunday, 2011

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

Today is Trinity Sunday.

As St. Paul reminds us in one of his letters to the Corinthians, we are blessed abundantly and differently by each of the three divine persons of the Trinity.

In His grace and love and fellowship, He gives us all that we need to discover what He wants for us and our lives.

Yet, sometimes, because of our own misgivings and failings, we have great difficulty discerning.

In these moments, we should turn to the Blessed Mother.

Who else was closer to the Trinity than Mary?

She who was daughter of the Father, mother of the Son, and spouse of the Holy Spirit will most certainly deliver to us the designs God has for our lives.

Vocation Challenge:
Do I seek out Our Lady’s assistance in better knowing the will of the Lord – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

Dearest Lord, You gave to Mary Your servant a deep and abiding closeness to every aspect of Your divinity. By her intercession, may we come to learn the path You have chosen for our lives. We make this prayer in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
