Vocation Meditation -
October 25, 2009

Then Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man said to him, "My teacher, let me see again." Jesus said to him, "Go your faith has made you well." Immediately the man regained his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
Mark 10: 51-52

Reading the full passage of this Sunday's gospel we discover the manifest spirit of the blind man, who cries out to get the attention of Jesus, that he might be healed. Jesus hears him and grants his request, commenting on his faith and determination to see again. His desire is granted and immediately. With sight restored he choses to follow Jesus 'on the way', seeking only to live and grow now as a disciple of Jesus. Every encounter with Jesus is a call to relationship with him. In the process we are made new inside and out in order to be prepared and sent back into the world to witness to the healing and reconciling love of God for all, especially those most in need.

Question:
Where do I need to see again in my life at this time, that I may follow Jesus more completely with my whole self?
