Vocation Meditation - June 22

Jesus summoned the twelve and sent them out with the following instructions: "Have no fear; for nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known. What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops.

"Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. And even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Jesus commissioned His disciples to go and preach, to witness His Word and His love to the world. Foreseeing the challenges of their evangelizing ministry, Jesus steeped up their courage, their faith and confidence in Him and in the Father. When chances to witness God's love would prove difficult for them, Jesus reassured: God will stand by them, always!

God defends and protects His own, all those who put their trust in Him.

Vocation Challenge:
I am more than anything to God! Precious and loved!
When challenged, do I steep up my trust in God who is faithful and stands by me?
