Vocation Meditation - Dec. 23
4th Sunday of Advent

An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."

All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet." Look the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means, 'God is with us.'

Assurance is what Joseph received to strengthen his faith before the greatest mystery of God's love for the world: the Incarnation. His obedience and Mary's Yes opened heaven to let down the Saviour. Now we can no longer say: 'We are alone' or 'Life is hard.' Take heart! God is among us!

This week I will spend quality time in awesome silence before the Crib to adore and be transformed by God becoming One among us!!!!!
