Our Lady's Missionaries

About Us

Founded in Alexandria, Ontario in 1949 by Msgr. Dan R. Macdonald, Our Lady's Missionaries is an international community of women who make vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, and endeavour to follow Jesus by sharing life with the poor and least privileged wherever we are.

We also have an associate program and many friends with whom we work, pray and share our lives.

Our Ministries

We devote our lives to the growth of the kin-dom and to the values it promotes: love, justice, freedom, peace and integrity of creation, serving the people of God in Brazil, Nigeria, the Philippines and Canada.

Our ministries include work with farmers, street children, people living with HIV/AIDS, prostituted women, indigenous people, the differently-abled, prisoners, interfaith dialogue, home and hospital visiting, primary health care, Zen meditation, the Out of the Cold program, and advocacy for justice, peace and integrity of creation.

Our Vision

We the members of Our Lady's Missionaries in gratitude and fidelity to the vision of our founder, go out to countries around the world other than our own and participate in renewing the face of the earth.
